Making an Ecranche

An ecranche is a small shield used to protect the left armpit and provide a specific target when jousting.

Below are pictures, measurements, and drawings for making an ecranche and mounting the straps.  There are TWO different mounting methods.

My ecranche is hung with the strap going over my right shoulder and coming up underneath my left arms. The side strap goes around my left arm.
